The Rule-Mate Bilge Pump incorporates a smart circuit board that not only automates pump operation but also monitors its performance. It activates automatically when water reaches a depth of 2-1/2" and shuts off when water levels drop to 5/8", minimizing battery drain and wear on the pump.
Unique to Rule-Mate, the intelligence feature detects when the pump is running without effectively removing water, such as when debris clogs the sensor or the pump becomes air-bound. In such cases, the pump will halt and initiate a "check" cycle every 2-1/2 minutes to verify water presence. Once the issue is resolved, normal operation resumes automatically.
